The Red Sea International Film Festival (RSIFF) is a global platform celebrating cinematic storytelling, showcasing the finest in regional and international film talent. In its third year, the festival continues to elevate the cultural landscape of Saudi Arabia, creating a world-class stage for dialogue, creativity, and connection.
I contributed to four key components of the festival environment: the Red Carpet experience, the Festival Gardens, the Women in Cinema Pavilion, and the Industry Souk marketplace. Each designed as a distinct yet interconnected experience.
The Red Carpet experience was meticulously planned as a moment of theatre, balancing ceremonial grandeur with brand presence, media function, and seamless crowd flow. Every design decision considered the lens of the camera, the perspective of the audience, and the energy of the moment.
The Festival Garden was envisioned as a dynamic social hub, more than a backdrop, it became a place for exchange, celebration, and creative collision. From intimate gatherings to large-scale activations, the space was designed to feel both elegant and inviting, allowing industry professionals and festival goers to connect meaningfully in a relaxed yet curated atmosphere.
The Women in Cinema Pavilion was created as a tribute to female voices in film, a space to honour their contributions and amplify their stories. The design approach combined sophistication and symbolism, offering an inspiring setting for conversation, recognition, and celebration.
The Industry Souk was conceived as a vibrant marketplace of ideas, a space for networking, discovery, and deal-making. Balancing practical functionality with visual storytelling, the design allowed for flexibility while reinforcing the creative identity of the festival.
Across all areas, my approach was rooted in creating immersive, meaningful environments that reflect the spirit of the Red Sea — where culture, creativity, and innovation converge.
